Leading from the front, Ecobag UK Directors Joe Margaglione and Nigel Taylor have been actively involved on the ground in Thailand, working alongside our partners and local volunteers in the collection and recovery of ocean plastics. Their first-hand participation has strengthened our partnerships and deepened our understanding of the scale and complexity of the challenge — inspiring further innovation in how we approach sustainable packaging.

4. Developing a Circular, 360° Recycling Solution

Building on this important work, Ecobag UK has developed a 360° solution aimed at closing the loop on plastic waste. We are now working with a responsible recycling partner who collects and processes LDPE and HDPE waste directly from the shoreline. This material is carefully sorted, cleaned, and reprocessed into 100% Ocean Waste refuse sacks — bags made entirely from recovered ocean plastics and fully recyclable at the end of their life.
